I live for Fridays. Since school started I've looked forward to Fridays because I don't have class and told myself it'd be a great time to go to the school anyway and use the open computers in the math lab and work on my algebra junk and come home and get some things done around the house before the kids are home for the weekend.... Sadly it hasn't worked out that way yet! I wind up having errands to run and so much other crap to do on Fridays my best intentions have fallen short. Oh well. I've got to run the pup to the vet this morning and when the kids get home take them for haircuts. They haven't gotten trims since school started back and Evan's bangs get so long! Next weekend my mother-in-law will be here, prolly my mother too for at least one night, because we're having Ty's party next Saturday. He wants some goofy airsoft riffle. Sooooo....I'll be getting the house in order over the weekend not to mention studying bio as always.
The kids are always doing and saying funny things, especially Evan b/c of his age, everything Tyler says is intelligent and/or hilarious b/c he has the BEST sense of humor!! I've been trying to remember some of it this week so I could share a few things. Here they are; have a great weekend!
-Evan getting out of the car every morning at school exclaims to me, "Gimme a kiss, will ya?!" with a big smile.
-I'm in the living room yesterday, Evan casually strolls in and says, re: a girl in his class that is apparently in love with him, "Abbi kissed me in the lunchroom." I of course said something like, "WHAT? You're letting some lil girl have mommy's sugar?! Did she kiss you on the cheek?" He looked so serious. "NO. On my mouth!" I about fell out, the look on his face was priceless. He went on to say how she's always cutting in front of him in line b/c she wants to be w/ him and tells him she wants to marry him. Evan had this problem in preschool as well. There were 3 or 4 little girls always on him talking marriage, 2 of the girls literally got in cat-fights and still do even this year and they're in different classes. I know Abbi's parents and they're great--her dad is the preacher at the local Church of God! LOL! Ya know what they say about those preacher's daughters! ;-) Anyway, I've got it from good sources that Abbi is quite a little flirt even at her church. Evan told her he already had a girlfriend he was going to marry from preschool, and Abbi said she'd have to kill her. Holy cow. Evan's already breakin' hearts.
-Tyler came home this week with a note he wrote to me at school. They were told to write a note to their parent(s) about what they were learning so far in 4th grade, what they like best, etc. The note was cute and some of the spelling was classic of course. The best part was the end where he signed, "Your Son" and signed his full name in cursive. In between the words "Your" and "Son", he edited in the word "favorite" just above them. It looked like an afterthought on his part after maybe considering his mom has 2 sons, so to be more specific, he threw in "favorite" so I'd know exactly which one he meant. HA!! I died laughing when I read it, looked up at him, he smiled real big and put his finger to his lips and indicated a "shhh" to me, as if to say, "It's ok, Mom, it'll be our little secret."
