with baited breath

That's how you've all been waiting for my next post, right? Well I hate to disappoint so here ya go.

My first 2 weeks in nursing school have been a blur, not only because the days are long and exhausting but because I've been devastatingly sick for the entire length of time I have been in said school. Today is Friday, my one glorious day to get anything done w/o my darling sons in tow, so I spent the morning in the doc's office waiting to go in and beg for more meds (because I was sick last month after the July 4 weekend) and I got a nice, juicy steroid shot in the gluteus minimus (yes, there is part of mine that is considered 'minimus') and I went ahead and got my second Hep B vaccination while I was there as well. So I'm all caught up on everything and I already feel better in the tonsil region thanks to the shot. It really does only hurt for a minute, you know.

So hopefully by tomorrow's 7pm kick-off at the Georgia Dome, I'll be feelin' fine and cheerin' it up! ROLL TIDE! Hard to believe it's that time of year again but I'm oh so glad.

Tyler and Evan will be home from school soon and will be spending the weekend with grandparents. They're looking forward to it and I'm glad they'll have a change of scenery and maybe I can get some rest and study time in with them gone. I have two tests next week already. One is in pharmacology containing stuff re: drugs and 'math for meds' which you know I loathe but have to do. The other will be nursing fundamentals. I got to practice rolling patients around in their beds yesterday in lab...of course it's a simulated hospital and mannequins that actually "do" stuff (pretty creepy) but still.

That's all for today, peeps! Hope you all have a great weekend!
