Well here we are, the end of July, where did our summer go? I must say, although we have several months of warm Alabama weather left the feeling of summer is definitely drawing to an end with the knowledge of school starting back for these handsome young men in a matter of about two weeks.
We've had a fantastic summer. I've spent some great quality time with my closest friends and words can't express what they've done for me and how they've helped me just by being in my life. I've gotten plenty of fun time with the boys and that's great seeing as how my life is about to be VERY hectic with the next 5 semesters of nursing school. I worry about a lot of aspects of trying to juggle it all but I know it'll all work out, just have to take it one day at a time.
So don't worry if I seem to drop off the planet from time to time; I assure you I'm still around, just with a lot less time and a lot more studying! I have nursing orientation Aug. 13,14,15 which will last from sun-up till sun-down. I've gotten my physical and blood work and most of my shots at this point, just have to go on Aug. 5 to our local health dept and get my MMR vaccine since my regular doc didn't have it. Then I should be good on everything and ready for orientation where I'll register for classes, get uniforms ordered, ID badges, etc. We'll be starting clinicals soon and I'm soooo excited to finally get to see patients! I've already gotten a lot of my cool nursing gear like shoes, stethoscope, BP cuff and a few other goofy things I have to use. I'll be in class Mon-Thurs and Fridays are clinicals (as it stands right now) so I pray it stays that way so mom can come on Thursdays and be here to help w/ the kids on Fridays b/c I'll be gone all day long. What on earth would we do without mothers???!!!
I'm already psyched to the max about football season starting up soon. I don't know how many games I'll get to this season but I'll get to a few! The Iron Bowl this year will be the day before my 31st birthday so I'm already working on having that weekend free and clear to be in T'town with bells on for sure.
That's all I can really report on right now! Things are good all around and I have a lot of things I'm hopeful about and looking forward to in the coming months so fingers crossed everything works out for me. Keep me bookmarked and I'll do my best to stay in touch here!
