Well I am glad it happened on a Saturday. No days off school to make up later in the spring and no rush to get back to school/work or whatever tomorrow. It's going down to about 19* so I'm wondering how slippery the roads are to go to church in the morning...I'm not sure how wet it still is right now but it was nasty once all the snow melted.
We got a whooping 2 inches or so of snow on the ground this morning! The boys had spend-the-night company so they were up before 7am yelling for the snow, which was not here. Luckily, we found out it was still on the way. It's been such a long day...after their friends left my mom, Blake, Kim, and Jack came over which was awesome. We had coffee and sat on our butts. The boys played and tonight I can honestly say my boys are absolutely exhausted. (So is their mother.) I'm glad we have MLK day on Monday because I need the extra day for catching up and homework and enjoying being at home in general.
*sigh* Alas, it was a good day and other than a similar light dusting once in Mentone, this was the most my kids have ever seen snow. (Tyler sort of remembers the 3 feet we got in NC when we lived up there...now that was snow!) I'm not winter's biggest fan by any means so this was fine by me. I'm ready for spring showers and Easter flowers anyway.
*This pic was taken as the snow started. Everything was covered in white after a couple of hours of steady snowfall!
