*Birthday Wrap-Up*

Ah, yes. Another year has come and gone in my life and wow what a year it has been. This time last year I most definitely did not see myself or anything else in my life like this. It's really surreal and some days I wonder if it's all been a dream (or nightmare) and I want to wake up and be able to recognize my life, then again other days it's so liberating and feels so good I wouldn't want to wake if it was a dream.

I had a good birthday weekend. I was surrounded by the people that love me most in the world. On Friday my mom was here and we along with my precious baby boys went to dinner and enjoyed some time together. Of course my brother and sister both called me to remind me I'm getting old. On Saturday my closest friends met me at one of our favorite haunts and then we went to a karaoke bar till about 1:30 this morning when I could not take it any more. I am 30 afterall. Haha. Other than my usual family only birthday thing we do at Thanksgiving for my brother and me, this is the first "party" of any type I've had since I was a teenager I guess and I must admit it was so nice to feel like a priority and be treated a little extra special this birthday. So thanks to everyone that sent me emails, called, sent cards, and went out with me to celebrate this weekend. It was an eye opener to see who remembered me....and who did not.

Today I've got homework to do and my sinuses and ears are aching and I definitely don't need that right now preparing for finals.

It's sort of warm today so the boys are playing outside. We've gotten out our Christmas decorations and put up a beautiful tree, and on Friday morning a friend helped me get the outside decorated some as well (been dying to decorate outside like this as long as I've lived here). Evan has a Christmas concert this week and his birthday party will be next weekend. Needless to say we've got a lot going on this month and I'm tired just thinking about it! I'll keep you all posted.

Have a great week!
